Cade Dillard
Top-10 finish in World of Outlaws stop at 411 Motor Speedway
Following the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series, Cade Dillard headed to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday night for the Mike Duvall Memorial. In a field of 39 cars, Dillard fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Streaking to a 10-lap consolation victory, Cade earned the 18th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Dillard passed six cars in the 50-lapper to register a 12th place finish.
On Saturday afternoon at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.), Cade followed up the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Earning the second-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main via the redraw, Dillard led the first five circuits until eventual race-winner Chris Madden slipped by on the sixth lap. Hanging onto a Top-10 finish in the remaining distance, Cade recorded a 10th place outing. (Michael Moats photo)
