Dillard follows World of Outlaws to South Carolina

Cade Dillard was one of 27 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) on Friday evening for the Charlie Mize Memorial. Grabbing the sixth and final transfer spot in his heat race, Dillard locked into the 18th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Cade charged through the field nine spots to register a ninth place finish.

On Saturday afternoon at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.), Cade logged a seventh place finish in his heat, which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win finale. Running into trouble near the halfway point of the feature, Dillard was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 22.

Cade remains in third in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
