Podium finish in World of Outlaws stop at Beaver Dam, up to third in World of Outlaws point standings

On Tuesday night Cade Dillard picked back up with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, Wis.). Drawing 31 cars, Dillard followed up the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Drawing the second-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Cade led the first 11 circuits before surrendering the top spot to Jimmy Owens. Hanging on to a podium finish in the remaining distance, Dillard notched at third place spot behind Owens and Billy Moyer with Brian Shirley and Kyle Bronson rounding out the Top-5. After a scheduled off day on Wednesday, Dillard followed the World of Outlaws to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday evening to kick off the 33rd annual USA Nationals weekend. Coming in second in his heat behind Billy Moyer, Cade earned the eighth-starting position for the preliminary feature. With $6,000 on the line, Dillard jumped up two spots in the 30-lapper to register a sixth place finish.

On Friday afternoon for a pair of heat races, Cade gained two spots in his first heat to finish fourth. Holding his spot for all 12-laps of his second heat race, Dillard recorded a fourth place finish, which locked him in a three-way tie for 14th in passing points.

With the Top 16 in passing points getting locked into the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals on Saturday evening, Dillard earned the 16th-starting position for the finale. Gaining five spots in the 100-lap affair, Cade recorded a 11th place finish.

Cade has climbed to third in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
