Cade Dillard continued on with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series northern stint on Tuesday night at Gondik Law Speedway (Superior, Wis.) for the $10,000 top prize. Following the second fastest lap overall in time trials behind Brandon Sheppard, Dillard cruised to a 10-lap heat race victory, which locked him into the redraw. After Mother Nature postponed Friday night’s event to Sunday, Cade headed to Red River Valley Speedway (West Fargo, N.D.) on Saturday evening for the $10,000 prize. Picking up a 10-lap heat race win over Chase Junghans, Dillard locked into the third-starting position for the A-Main. Falling one spot shy of a Top-5 finish in the 50-lap affair, Cade recorded a sixth place outing.
On Sunday afternoon at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.), Dillard posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Chase Junghans, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the finale. With $10,000 on the line, Cade challenged race-long leader Brandon Sheppard for the top spot late in the 50-lapper but settled with a runner-up finish behind Sheppard with Ricky Weiss, Dennis Erb Jr., and Dustin Strand completing the Top-5 finishers.
Cade remains in fourth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
