During the same night in a stout field of 59 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Cade fell short of a transfer spot in his heat with a seventh place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a fourth place finish or better to make the show, Dillard logged an 11th place outing.
The following night for the $5,000 top prize, Cade posted a second place finish in his heat behind James Giossi, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Passing four cars in the 40-lap affair, Dillard notched a sixth place finish.
In the USMTS ranks, Dillard came in third in his heat, sending him into the consolation event. Transferring the Top 4 into the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Cade fell one spot shy with a fourth place finish.
On Saturday evening, Cade passed seven cars in Late Model heat to place third. Starting the $10,000-to-win finale in sixth, Dillard jumped up three spots in the 50-lapper to score a third place finish behind Rick Hanestad and Jimmy Mars with Jesse Glenz and Pat Doar rounding out the Top-5 finishers.
Starting the night off with a heat race victory in his Modified on Saturday, Dillard locked into the third-starting position for the main event. With $10,000 on the line, Cade dropped one spot in the 40-lapper to place fourth behind Terry Phillips, Shane Sabraski, and Rodney Sanders with Dereck Ramirez coming in fifth.
