Top 10 Finish in Drydene Double Down Invitational Finale

With the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series returning to action after more than a two-month hiatus due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Cade Dillard made the trip to Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Mn.) on Friday evening for the Drydene Double Down Invitational. With 26 cars on hand, Dillard recorded the third fastest lap overall in time trials before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Receiving the sixth-starting position for the opening night feature via the redraw, Cade was involved in a tangle on lap 10 that relegated him back to a 12th place outing.

The following night for the $20,000-to-win finale, Cade posted a fourth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the main event. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Dillard passed eight cars to place eighth.

Cade has climbed to sixth in the latest World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series point standings.
