Cade Dillard uninjured in violent wreck at Bristol

On Friday afternoon, Cade Dillard was one of 29 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries invited to Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) as the famed facility covered the half-mile oval in dirt for the two-day Bristol Bash. Following the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group, Dillard secured his spot into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Rick Eckert. Receiving the eighth-starting position via the redraw, Cade suffered a blow-out on his right-front tire on lap 18 that sent him slamming into the wall. He was able to escape the collision unharmed. After Saturday evening’s program was postponed to Sunday afternoon, Cade elected to start-and-park in the feature, just completing one lap before pulling in.
