In a field of 58 cars on Wednesday as the remainder of the week became World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series sanctioned, Cade came in fourth in his heat before streaking to a 10-lap consolation victory. Starting the feature in 19th, Dillard was an early retiree on the second circuit.
Later Wednesday evening for the rescheduled Sunshine Nationals feature from January 22nd, Cade pulled off early with 19 laps remaining.
On Thursday, Dillard’s sixth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Dillard logged a sixth-place finish.
After taking part in his time trial session and heat race on Friday, Cade was a scratch from his 10-lap consolation event.
For the 51st annual DIRTcar Nationals finale on Saturday, Dillard secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his B-Main. Starting in 23rd, Cade improved six positions in the 40-lap affair to finish 17th.
