Dillard races into USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway with World of Outlaws
Just a couple days removed from the PDC, Cade Dillard was back in action on Tuesday afternoon at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for the Hawkeye 50.
Following the sixth-fastest lap in qualifying, Cade picked up the victory in his heat which earned him a third-row starting spot. For the $15,000 payday, Dillard wound up seventh inside the Top-10.
For another crown jewel weekend, Cade Dillard and his team headed to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday afternoon to kick off the USA Nationals with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series.
On the first night of competition, Cade was quickest in his qualifying group and in the $6,000 preliminary feature went on to record another Top-10 in eighth.
With another round of prelims on tap Friday, Dillard nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race before losing a few positions in the second 25-lap prelim feature to finish 12th.
Locked into the 10th-starting position for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale, Dillard completed all 100-laps and wound up just outside the Top-10 in 12th.
Cade is currently eleventh in the series point standings.
