Cade Dillard runner-up in preliminary feature at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park
Following the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series to North Carolina, Cade Dillard checked into Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Friday night for preliminary night of the Ultimate Showdown.
With 40 Late Models in the pit area, Dillard qualified fifth-quickest in his stacked group which landed him a starting spot on the third-row of the first prelim feature. Making quick work of his competitors, Dillard found himself runner-up after 25-laps. He trailed Bobby Pierce while Brandon Sheppard completed the podium.
Unfortunately, Saturday's $35,000-to-win main event was rained out.
Dillard currently sits in third-place in the World of Outlaws point standings.
