Cade Dillard races to runner-up finish in opening night at Sharon Speedway with World of Outlaws

Rescheduling the Billy Winn Classic to this weekend, Cade Dillard followed the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series to Bedford (Pa.) Speedway on Thursday afternoon.

Winning his heat race early in the evening, Dillard started fourth in the 45-lap feature but dealt with flat tires which resulted in a 13th-place finish.

With two days of action on tap at Sharon Speedway (Hartford, Ohio) Friday and Saturday, Dillard started fifth in the $10,000-to-win opener and chased race-winner Bobby Pierce to the checkered flag for a runner-up finish.

Dillard didn't find the podium in Saturday's Battle at the Border finale but still scored a Top-10 finish in seventh.

Dillard is currently fourth in the point standings.
